In 2019 Alex Rodriguez was the keynote speaker for St. Philip's Destiny Award Luncheon. After spending time with Dr. Flowers and Principal Murrell he says it's one of the most incredible places he's ever been. Rodriguez described St. Philip's to be the true anchor in our South Dallas 

Taraji P. Henson was the keynote speaker at the 2020 Destiny Award Luncheon. Henson wished there was a St. Philip's in every city across the country.

Viola Davis was the keynote speaker for our 2016 Destiny Award Luncheon. Davis noted that it was her privilege to have moments like this here at St. Philip's school and community center where she sees the presence of God.

Cornel West was our Destiny Award Luncheon keynote speaker for 2001 and 2008. This clip is from 2008 where he shares the hope of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the hope we should have for our very own South Dallas community.

Dr. Mae Carol Jemison was our 2009 Destiny Award Luncheon keynote speaker. Jemison says the work being done at St. Philip's is incredible and asked the crowd to think about how they can get all students exposed to the same opportunities.
