    St. Philip’s began in the 1940s when Black Episcopalians established a church. Over the decades, the institution evolved into a thriving educational institution deeply rooted in service. Each year we serve 241 students and over 8,000 neighbors, offering a wide range of programs designed to meet the diverse and critical needs of our community.

St. Philip’s, founded in 1946, has grown from a church established by Black Episcopalians into a thriving educational institution deeply rooted in service. Each year, we support 8,000+ neighbors through essential programs and engage 1,500+ children annually, further strengthening our role as a cornerstone of opportunity, support, and growth for the community.
