Tuition and Fees

Tuition and Fees

2026–2027 School Year

A Clear, Fair, and Mission-Aligned Approach to Tuition

At St. Philip’s School & Community Center, our mission is to provide an exceptional, faith-based education while remaining accessible to families from a wide range of backgrounds. To support both access and long-term sustainability, we are introducing a new tuition model for the 2026–2027 school year called the Household Contribution Rate.

What Is the Household Contribution Rate (HCR)?

The Household Contribution Rate (HCR) is a way of determining tuition that takes each family’s full financial picture into account using a consistent and transparent process.

For our returning families, this will be familiar—more than half of our families already receive an individualized tuition rate. The HCR builds on that same idea, but in a clearer, more consistent, and more predictable way for all families.

How Tuition Is Determined

Tuition is determined through Clarity, our online application platform, which allows the school to review each family’s information in a consistent and respectful way.

Based on this review, each family receives their Household Contribution Rate (HCR) — their expected annual tuition contribution. Review Clarity Family Application Guide.

Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) & Tuition at St. Philip’s

St. Philip’s School and Community Center has carefully reviewed the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program and has elected not to participate at this time. As a result, we do not accept TEFA funds, school vouchers, or voucher-based tuition payments.

In keeping with our mission to serve families and the broader community, St. Philip’s uses a Household Contribution Model for tuition, which is designed to thoughtfully and fairly assess each family’s unique financial situation and determine a tuition amount that reflects their individual ability to contribute. This approach allows us to partner with families in a way that is both accessible and sustainable, ensuring that a St. Philip’s education remains within reach for families from a wide range of economic circumstances.

Families can begin the Household Contribution Model process by creating an account through Clarity: Start Your Household Contribution Application.

Although we are not currently participating in TEFA, we will continue to evaluate the program’s benefits and restrictions to determine whether participation would align with our mission and values.

Our Commitment to Families

This tuition model allows St. Philip’s to continue investing in excellent teachers, strong programs, and a stable future—while staying true to our mission and our dedication to families.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is tuition determined?
Tuition is determined through the Clarity application, which allows us to review each family’s information in a consistent and respectful way. Based on this review, each family receives their Household Contribution Rate (HCR) — their expected annual tuition contribution.

Is this financial aid?
No. The Household Contribution Rate (HCR) replaces the traditional financial aid model with one clear, unified, and more transparent approach to determining tuition.

What is the full cost of tuition at St. Philip’s?
The full cost to educate one student at St. Philip’s is $30,000 per year. This reflects the true cost of our academic program, faculty, facilities, and student support services.

Do all families pay $30,000?
No. Most families will pay their Household Contribution Rate (HCR), which is determined through the Clarity application based on each family’s full financial picture.

Is there a flat-rate option?
Yes. New families may choose to enroll at the full-cost flat rate of $30,000 instead of completing the Clarity application.

Returning families who are interested in their flat-rate option should contact the Admissions Office directly for more information.

When will we receive our Household Contribution Rate (HCR)?
Families who are offered admission will receive their Household Contribution Rate within 72 hours of receiving their admission decision.

How does St. Philip’s ensure fairness?
All families are reviewed using the same process and standards, ensuring that families with similar circumstances are treated similarly and that each family’s contribution is determined in a consistent and respectful way.

What if our financial situation changes?
We understand that life changes happen. Families are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office so we can walk with you through any changes in circumstances.
