Our Mission
To provide an unparalleled education and compatible community services through a faith-based experience, with an emphasis on serving low and moderate income families.
St. Philip's School and Community Center, founded in 1946 as a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas, acknowledges that, next to God, an excellent education is the most effective means of developing human capital. As a private school in Dallas, we provide an unparalleled college-preparatory education fueled by a confluence of spirituality, self-determination, and service to others. Students leave St. Philip’s with high self-esteem and self-worth, ready to face the world with confidence.

Dear Prospective St. Philip’s Parent
Dear Prospective St. Philip's Parent,
Welcome to St. Philip's School and Community Center, and thank you for considering our school as the place to build your child's educational foundation. Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family makes, and it is a privilege to walk alongside you in that journey.
I know that decision well, because my own parents once made it for me. I am a proud alumna of St. Philip's, and in many ways, a product of this environment. The values instilled in me here, the teachers who believed in me, and the community that surrounded me shaped who I am today. So when I tell you what makes this school special, I am not describing it from a distance. I am sharing something I have lived.
What shaped me then is what you will find here now. At St. Philip's, we nurture the whole child: mind, body, and soul. Our Christ-centered mission of excellence in academics and service to others guides everything we do, from the classroom to the neighborhood we proudly serve.
Our dedicated faculty believe the world is the classroom, just as my teachers did when I sat in these same halls. Through engaging, technology-rich instruction and meaningful learning beyond our walls, they empower students to think globally, dream boldly, and lead with purpose.
From Pre-K through eighth grade, students take part in standards-based, cross-curricular lessons designed to build confidence and stretch the imagination. Creativity flourishes through art, music, and project-based learning, while hands-on inquiry in math, science, social studies, technology, and foreign language prepares students to thrive in a changing world. By graduation, they carry with them lifelong commitments to scholarship, spirituality, and service.
Of course, no letter can capture what it feels like to be part of this community. The best way to know whether St. Philip's is the right fit for your family is to see it for yourself. We offer multiple opportunities throughout the year to help you gain a better understanding of how your family can benefit from the St. Philip’s experience. Reservations can be made through our website or by contacting our Office of Admission.
Because St. Philip's receives many applications and space is limited, I encourage you to begin the admission process early and to keep our required dates in mind. It would be an honor to welcome your family into the school that helped raise me, and to watch your child grow here just as I did.
Sincerely,
Johari Jenkins
Director of Admission
