What is a Matching Gift?

We’re excited to introduce the "Double the Donation" platform, which allows you to quickly check if your employer offers a matching gift program. This easy tool can help double or even triple the impact of your donation to St. Philip's. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to amplify your support for our mission.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Employee Match Program is a workplace-giving benefit in which many employers match the charitable contributions made by their employees.

Subscription, recurring, or monthly giving is a model in which our donors commit to regular, ongoing donations.

After donating to St. Philip's, check with your employer's HR or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department to see if they offer a donation matching program. If they do, you must complete a matching gift request form online or on paper and submit it with your donation receipt. Your employer will then send the matching funds directly to St. Philip's.

Most employers match donations made by full-time, part-time, and retired employees. However, eligibility and guidelines vary by company, so please confirm your employer's policy with HR or through their matching gift platform.

Typically, one-time or recurring monetary donations are eligible for matching. Some companies also match volunteer hours or donations made by employees' spouses. Recurring (subscription) gifts to St. Philip's often qualify as well.

Visit our giving page, https://www.stphilips1600.org/donate/ to sign up for a recurring gift and check your employer's match eligibility.
If your company is not in our system, contact your HR or CSR department to learn about your company's specific process.
Submit your matching gift request along with your St. Philip's donation receipt.
