We need your help!! Volunteers are needed to join the Street Team!

As our community grows, we want to continue getting to know our neighbors and letting them know us.  We have a wealth of resources available that we want to ensure those who need it know about it.  We also have a special tuition grant for residents in three of our nearby zip codes! This Street Team event will give us 2021 insight into the needs of our neighbors and how we can meet them.

9:30am Goodie Bag Stuffing
10:15am Street Team Instructions at St.Philip’s
10:30am Drive to assigned blocks
1:00pm Debrief at St. Philip’s


Who we need on the Street Teams:
Knockers: Will approach homes to see if anyone is available, look for signs that someone is available at upcoming homes and, generally, keep an eye out for issues and opportunities
Greeters: Will engage an adult resident of the home to get to know them by asking the survey questions.
Gifters: Will leave each home with a goodie bag and thank them again for their time and complete the online survey as the greeter engages the primary adult.*Needs Internet-Accessible device
Historians: Will observe the interaction and take notes after each one to memorialize key moments of the meet & greet and,  if possible, take pictures.
Carters: Will engage the kids of the neighborhoods with an activity to do and then provide popsicles to those kids while supplies last.

What to wear and bring:

•    Your St. Philip’s shirts, hats, etc. (A limited supply of SPSCC  t-shirts are available if you don’t have any SPSCC gear.)
•    Sunscreen
•    Hats / Umbrellas
•    Water
•    Snacks
•    Transportation
•    Comfortable walking shoes
•    First Aid Kit

**Note
We will have 2 groups per street + a popsicle Carter
Except for the Knocker, all roles can rotate, if desired
 

**Team members will wear masks and practice social distancing
