After Hours After Care is hosted by St. Philip's School and Community Center
When: twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30PM-8:30PM.
During these four hours, students from the South Dallas neighborhood, who mostly attend Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School and Billy Dade Middle School, learn how to express themselves creatively through the visual and written arts and receive homework help, all the while being immersed in a family-friendly environment in which they learn to work together communally and build citizenship and civic pride. Students also learn positive modes of communicating and address ways in which to effectively confront personal issues.
