Nominations are currently closed for the 2012 Destiny Awards Luncheon.
The St. Philip's Destiny Awards annual Spring Luncheon recognizes and honors recipients who have demonstrated exceptional work and effort towards bridging relationships between racial communities and whose work exemplifies the importance of embracing the belief in the “oneness of human kind".
A Destiny Award is given to winners in each of four categories: Individual, Corporation, Non-profit organization and “Unsung Hero”. Nominee must be present to receive award.
Who Is Eligible
1. An individual, corporation, non-profit organization and unsung hero who has demonstrated exceptional effort in bridging and strengthening relationships between racial communities.
Who Is Not Eligible
1. Persons employed by St. Philip's School & Community Center and other St. Philip's affiliated organizations (Forest Heights Neighborhood Development Corp, etc.).
2. Generally this award is not given to a person or organization that has targeted a specific minority or socio-economic level for its attention or services. The award deals specifically with integration, diversity, and multi-racial awareness rather than a single targeted community.
